FAQs 2025 Season.
Season Details:
- U7/U9:
- Season runs late April through June 28.
- Practices/games will be held on Saturdays and Tuesdays
- U11, U13, U15, and U17:
- These divisions will begin with tryout sessions and/or team balancing in April.
- Once teams are formed, pre-season practices will begin in preparation for the MMLL (Metro Minor Lacrosse League) season.
- The MMLL regular season runs from May 3 - July 13, featuring 14 regular season games, plus playoffs.
- Please note the MMLL will release the game schedule 1-2 weeks prior to the season's start.
- Following the release, the Hurricanes will schedule team practices around each team’s game schedule.
Home Arena & Away Games:
- Home games will be held at the Spryfield Lions Rink.
- Away games will take place in arenas across HRM.
Registration Fees:
- Your registration fees cover:
- All MMLL games and playoffs
- Weekly practices
- Team equipment
- If your team chooses to enter a tournament, get team photos, etc., additional costs for those activities will be communicated and will be the responsibility of the players' families.
Uniform & Equipment:
- Players will be provided with a team jersey and practice pinnie for the season. Prior to receiving their jerseys, parents will need to complete a deposit form. Game shorts can be purchased through the Hurricanes online store, along with other team apparel such as t-shirts, hoodies, hats, and more!
Communication:
- Initial communications regarding tryouts, team balancing, and schedules will come via email from the club.
- Once teams are set, rosters will be available on the Team Ramp app, where managers and coaches will communicate with players and parents.
